Andaq Peak, Kanday Village – An Unclimbed Mystery of the Karakoram
Nestled in the remote Kanday Village of Baltistan, Anda Peak rises over 5,000 meters, standing as an unclimbed challenge in the Karakoram Range. This hidden gem offers stunning panoramas of surrounding glaciers and towering peaks, making it a perfect destination for explorers and climbers seeking new frontiers.
In 2022, a Japanese expedition attempted to ascend this peak, but tragedy struck when one climber fell into a crevasse, forcing the team to abandon their summit bid. Since then, no further expeditions have attempted Andaq Peak, leaving it untouched and unconquered. Beyond the climb itself, this expedition offers an opportunity to explore uncharted glaciers and rugged valleys, unveiling the raw beauty of one of Baltistan’s least-explored regions. Whether for mountaineering, trekking, or sheer adventure, Andaq Peak remains a rising challenge waiting to be conquered.
